DECORATING WITH WOVEN TEXTURES
Lauren Graham
Not a fan of busy prints but still want to introduce warmth to a contemporary home? Bring understated personality and style to your space by combining woven textures that add character and a certain "lived-in coziness" that's inviting, yet modern.
Whilst clean lines and minimalism are key features of modern design, you do risk creating a cavernous, cold or sterile area. Strike a balance between modern lines and comfort by using woven textures in tonal hues. New collection Basic Textures offers the perfect combination of textural plains in as subtle colour palette to help bring this look to life in your home.
Take a look at some fresh inspiration across the colourways:

TOP TIPS
Getting this look right means loading with texture without busying the space. Here are 2 of our top tips for getting the look spot on:
1. USE A SUBTLE COLOUR PALETTE
Using softer shades will allow the texture to shine through and do all the heavy lifting in creating warmth and character. A sharp accent or vibrant pop of colour is always welcome, but keep the base subtle on tonal hues.
2. TOO MUCH IS NEVER ENOUGH
If you're opting for plain finishes and soft furnishings in a muted colour palette, then go mad on texture combinations. Natural materials like wood & stone combine beautifully with woven baskets, ceramics, textured rugs and woven textiles. Use all elements in abundance to create an inviting space.
