HOW TO ADD BLACKOUT LINING TO READY-MADE CURTAINS
Guest User
There's nothing quite like block out lining for screening out unwanted light from a room. Sometimes ready-made curtains can fall short when it comes to blockout & blackout options, however we've developed the perfect solution for adding lining to your existing Stuart Graham taped OR eyelet curtains! Keep reading to see how to turn down the light…
HOW TO ADD BLACKOUT TO YOUR EYELET CURTAINS
Night Time is a woven blackout curtain that can be used as either a stand-alone curtain or as an add on to your existing ready mades. Black yarn has been woven into the fabric to prevent the majority of light from shining through. The front and the back of the fabric are identical in colour and the finish is soft, with a silk-like feel, which is why this product is suitable as a stand-alone curtain or as a lining. The eyelet option can be combined with an existing Stuart Graham ready-made on a single rod. See below for a step-by-step instruction guide on how it’s done.
STEP 1
Purchase the Stuart Graham Nite Time eyelet curtain in the correct size. Stockists of this product can be found online here.
STEP 2
Lay your existing ready-made curtain face down on a clean, flat surface. Lay the blackout lining on top.
STEP 3
Match up the eyelets of both products. The dimensions of the curtain and lining must match exactly, so make sure you order the correct width and length of blackout . This product can only be used in conjunction with a Stuart Graham ready-made eyelet curtain.
STEP 4
Thread a single curtain pole through both eyelets as usual.
VOILA!
Instant black out for your ready-made eyelet curtain.
TOP TIP
This product is available in 5 colours. Select the colour option closest to your existing eyelet for the best finish.
* Note that you can only use our black out eyelet curtain with an eyelet curtain that has a finished width of 230cms, the curtain must have the same number of eyelets as the blackout (which is 14 eyelets per curtain) and the same spacing of the eyelets.

HOW TO ADD BLOCKOUT LINING TO YOUR TAPED READY-MADE CURTAINS
If you have taped curtains the remedy to unwanted light is just as easy. We've developed the perfect solution for adding 100% blockout lining to your existing taped curtains! It’s important to remember that the beauty of Stuart Graham ready mades is that they are wider than most ready-made curtains. The Stuart Graham blockout lining is a perfect match, designed with a special tape that fits easily into your existing ready-made taped curtain. In a few simple steps, you'll have 100% blockout without having to install a second track, or purchase a new set of curtains. See the step-by-step guide below:
STEP 1
Purchase the Stuart Graham Fabrics 100% blockout lining curtain. Stockists of this product can be found online here.
STEP 2
Lay your existing ready-made curtain face down on a clean, flat surface. Ensure the curtain has already been gathered to the desired width.
STEP 3
Lay the lining product over the ready-made curtain and connect together using a single curtain hook. DO NOT connect through the gathering strings. Use the slit in the bottom of the curtain tape for a secure fit.
STEP 4
Flip the curtain hooks round and hang on your tape track as usual.
VOILA!
Instant 100% blockout for your ready-made curtain.
TOP TIP
When using curtain rings to hang your taped curtain, simply attach the rings on the top side of the tape, while attaching the lining to the bottom of the tape.
