DIAL UP THE DARKNESS WITH NEW NIGHTFALL BLOCKOUT COLLECTION

Did you know that sleeping in total darkness is better for your mental health. That means more than just drawing the curtains. It means total blackout, from zero light filtering through your curtains to the little blue light on your TV. Black it all out and you’ll be the better for it, say scientists at the Nara Medical University School of Medicine in Japan. Even if you’re just having an afternoon nap, a totally dark room will make those 40 winks that much more worth it.
So it’s with great excitement that we’ve launched Nightfall, a new collection of partial and total blockout curtaining fabrics. In many instances a room will be in a dark enough area for Nightfall’s partial blockout designs, High Density and Sundown, to do the trick. However, the collection also includes two total blockout designs, Solarline and Dreamland. For added convenience all designs are self-lined and wide width, allowing for quick, simple and cost-effective curtaining.
Use any of these curtaining fabrics on their own or with a complementary sheer to create a layered look.
SOLARLINE
Solarline is a plain, silicone-coated fabric with an incredibly soft feel that will block out 100% of the light. Three layers of coating provide privacy as well as protection from the elements, such as sun and moisture. In addition, Solarline, unlike regular blockout fabrics, does not elicit or hold any dust. Solarline carries the Oeko-tex label and is therefore free from harmful substances and is safe for people and the environment.
DREAMLAND
Dreamland is a textured self-lined coated fabric which offers total blockout. The fabrics are 280cm wide so will work beautifully across wide windows and sliding doors. Dreamland is available in five soft and dreamy colours.
HIGH DENSITY
This is a luxurious, finely-woven plain that offers partial blockout. Black thread has been interwoven to block out sunlight up to 80%, colour depending. High Density has a soft, fine weave, creating a smooth, matte finish that drapes gorgeously. Colours available are in warm and cool neutrals.
SUNDOWN
Sundown is another option for partial blockout. This design has an interesting textured surface with black thread woven into it, providing an adequate amount of darkness to the room. It’s available in three stunning contemporary neutrals.
