HOW TO USE EXTRA WIDTH READY MADES
Janeen Duffin
Ready-made curtains provide a quick, convenient and easy curtaining solution - that's why we love them! However, there are certain scenarios that can prohibit or complicate the use of ready-made curtains. That's why we offer two extra-width sheer options, making tricky curtaining situations more manageable and in most cases, more cost effective. Here's how the extra width ready-mades can be your best friend:
1. IF YOU HAVE A WIDER-THAN-USUAL WINDOW OR STACKING DOORS
The standard width of most ready-made curtains is perfect for a standard window size, however if you are covering a larger width window or stacking doors, you only have two options. You can combine more than one set of ready-mades to cover the extra space and end up with multiple curtain drops on one track, OR you could physically alter each curtain by sewing more than one together. Stuart Graham Fabrics extra-width ready-mades are 500 centimeters wide, which means you can cover a larger window with two curtains — neater, budget friendly and convenient!
2. IF YOU WANT A FULLER CURTAIN FOR A MORE LUXE LOOK
Whether your window is a little wider than usual or not, you might want to create a more luxurious look and feel with a fuller curtain. Using an extra width ready-made will give you the fuller look you're after, without having to add extra curtain drops.
3. IF YOU ONLY HAVE ONE SIDE TO DRAW THE CURTAINS
Some room configurations may only allow for curtains to be drawn to one side due to an obstruction or simply the layout of the room. An extra width ready made will allow you to cover an entire window or door with one drop which can be stacked to one side. Problem solved!
