THE SIMPLE SLIP COVER AND WHY IT'S YOUR BIGGEST DECOR ALLY

As a part of our Summer series of inspirational decor ideas, we recently completed a makeover for Cape Town couple Jess and Pat. They were most concerned about their dark and outdated dining area in their rented apartment. Hesitant to purchase new furniture for a temporary space, we had to get creative on how to remedy their brown leather dining suite.
Our solution - simple fitted slip covers in a light linen tone, made up from fabric "Boucle Payrus" from well-priced dual purpose collection Simplicity. To add some character, we covered the two head chairs in complementary print "Globe Ocean" from the Cosmos Collection.
The results were impressive - even surprising us with the effectiveness of the new look, lightening, brightening and instantly modernising their space with a very cost-effective fix. The chairs were spared and re-covered with convenient slip covers that give the effect of linen, without breaking the bank. What's more is that these can easily be removed and popped into the washing machine for cleaning.
